My office will dedicate itself to delivering results to the community.
My staff will be experienced and knowledgable about working with city departments.
We will get the job done efficiently while fostering transparency and upholding the highest ethical standards.
I bring 30 years of experience in managing employees and solving problems.
I am committed to prioritizing our neighborhoods and the people who call them home.
My office will be open, friendly, and inclusive. We will actively listen, engage with the community, and address the most pressing concerns.
We will not run away from problems but toward them.
I will make decisions based on what truly benefits residents—not personal or political gain.
As a small business owner of 30 years, I understand the necessity of budgeting well.
It is unacceptable for taxpayers to bear an ever-growing burden while government inefficiency wastes precious
My goal is to provide the essential services that protect and enrich our communities while alleviating the financial strain of debt that is crushing taxpayers and stifling opportunity and growth.
Creating a safe community requires a balanced approach that includes a well-prepared law enforcement and proactive community engagement.
Equipping police with adequate resources and training while building the community's trust in law enforcement ensures police can effectively address crime.
I’ll work to expand neighborhood watch programs, youth mentorship initiatives, and rehabilitation efforts for at-risk individuals so we can prevent crime before it happens.
The “quality of life” in our communities is greatly dependent upon our infrastructure and the walkability or bikeability of our city.
Yet local government's investment in well-maintained roads and addressing long-overdue sidewalk and drainage repairs does not reflect this.
I will take a serious and comprehensive look at what must be repaired and how much money to allocate to doing so.
After 30 years as a small business owner, I understand the challenges facing local businesses, and I know what it takes to make one successful.
To strengthen our local economy, we must cultivate a business-friendly environment by streamlining permits and offering tax incentives.
This also means supporting small businesses–not shutting them down, like our beautiful carriage service downtown.
District 1's historic buildings and neighborhoods are part of what makes up San Antonio's identity.
We must protect and respect our city's history, which began three centuries ago.
I care about the story of each neighborhood in District 1. I want to get to know them all.
Working collaboratively with the community, I want to preserve these neighborhoods' legacies for tomorrow's generation, even as the city landscape changes.
To ensure the safety of the public and stray animals, my office will implement a humane and effective animal control strategy.
Our approach will incorporate a combination of sterilization programs, vaccination campaigns, education initiatives, and legal enforcement.
We will collaborate with veterinarians, animal welfare organizations, and enforcement agencies for long-term success.
D1 will be a leader in community-driven approaches that promote humane treatment of animals.
To help homeless people return to a productive life, my office would:
1. Encourage mental healthcare, facilitate addiction recovery and family & social services programs.
2. Partner with local churches, faith-based organizations, and nonprofits to offer shelter, meals, counseling, and spiritual support.
3. Ensure laws and ordinances regarding loitering, vagrancy, and abandoned buildings are enforced to discourage refusal of services.
4. Inform the public about the cycle of poverty and homelessness to prevent others from falling victim to it.
